In Borgo San Lorenzo, a municipality in the province of Florence, Hamami Verniciatura is a reference point for blasting and sandblasting operations. This is the most effective method for preparing surfaces before they undergo painting treatments or the application of a protective layer against corrosion.
Anchorage for protective coatings
The metal surface must possess characteristics that provide a suitable anchor base for protective coatings. For parts that have most of the surface covered with rust, washing will not be sufficient for preparation for painting. It is on these surfaces that the blasting and sandblasting process is considered necessary.

Cleaning surfaces from residue
Sandblasting of metals is a mechanical treatment by which residues and corrosive encrustations can be removed from the surface of a metal artifact in order to obtain a finish suitable for subsequent painting and application of protective coatings. Usually a high-speed, high-pressure jet of sand and air is used: at the end of the procedure, the surface of the artifact presents an appearance free of the changes caused by oxidation and corrosion. Hamami Painting has a sandblasting booth of size 4mtx4mtx4mt H, plus a machine for sandblasting small parts.
